Cathy Lee Karr supports the attorneys and clients of McNeill Baur PLLC as a Patent Prosecution Coordinator. Cathy has more than 15 years of experience in patent prosecution, including extensive experience managing US and foreign patent portfolios for a diverse client base. Before joining McNeill Baur, Cathy managed a team of patent paralegals to provide training and guidance with respect to best practice and changes at the USPTO. In her current role, Cathy supports the firm by:
- maintaining US and foreign dockets for practitioners including managing deadlines and status of applications;
- preparing and filing patent documents related to all aspects of US patent prosecution at the USPTO;
- preparing and filing patent documents related to PCT applications at various receiving offices and via ePCT;
- coordinating prosecution with foreign counsel across extensive patent portfolios.
Cathy has experience onboarding new clients, both small and large, and collaborating with in-house IP departments to develop standard protocol for each client.
